Things to do in Krka National Park
Krka National Park sits roughly 85-90 km south of Zadar, about a 90-minute drive, and centres on the Skradinski buk waterfall, a set of travertine cascades reached by boat from the town of Skradin. Swimming at Skradinski buk has been banned since 2021, so treat the water as a viewpoint, not a pool, whatever earlier photos or blog posts suggest.
Further into the park, boat trips also reach Roski slap and the island monastery of Visovac, both quieter than the main falls. Most visitors from Zadar join a day tour that bundles transport, the Skradin boat and park entry, and several also add a stop in Sibenik, about 85 km south of Zadar, to see the Cathedral of St James on the same day.
Check current tour listings for exact departure times and ticket prices rather than assuming last season's rates.
