Things to do in Kornati National Park

Kornati National Park, established in 1980, protects around 89 islands, islets and reefs of bare limestone — the wider Kornati archipelago runs to roughly 140 — with almost no soil, trees or permanent settlement.

There is no road and no bridge: the park is reached only by boat, typically a day trip from Zadar, Biograd, Murter or Sali. Speedboat excursions from Zadar run in the 3–4 hour range one-way and are often combined with a stop at Telašćica Nature Park or the Sakarun beach on Dugi Otok.

The landscape is the draw — stark white cliffs, clear water and open sea rather than beaches or towns — so treat this as a boat trip, not a coastal walk.
